"not for your f*cking pleasure" is a multimedia sculpture confronting the objectification of women’s bodies and the cycle of violence rooted in this perspective. the piece merges a chair—symbolizing how women are often reduced to objects for comfort or utility—with a plaster cast of my body, capturing personal and collective trauma. beneath the chair hangs a cyanotype fabric collage of self-portraits, these images reject the gaze that reduces my body to something consumable, reclaiming it on my own terms. this piece is a declaration of my autonomy, self-worth, and wholeness—a rejection of societal expectations that define women’s bodies as objects for pleasure.

with deep gratitude to jiselle, rebeca, karina, pablo, and professor gilbertson—thank you for your support, guidance, and love. i couldn’t have finished this without you.
